Eddy, in the Mac app

# Watch any lesson again

Every lesson with Eddy can be watched again. Open History, pick an Eddy lesson and press Replay: the board draws, the pictures come into focus and Eddy talks, exactly as it happened. Jump to any moment, speed it up to 1.5x or 2x, and press Ask Eddy about this to pick the lesson up from there. Your own voice is never kept.

Replay

## Exactly as it happened.

History, Eddy lessons lists every lesson you kept, with Replay and Delete. A finished lesson's tab has Replay this lesson, and Recents on Eddy's start page has a play button. The replay is the lesson as it happened: the same board, the same pictures, Eddy's voice, and your words as captions.

[Guide: Watch a lesson again](https://docs.duckyhelper.com/eddy/replay/)

Any speed

1x, 1.5x or 2x. Pause, or drag to any moment.

Example lessons

A new account starts with three recorded lessons in Recents, Adding fractions, Inside a leaf and Why are leaves green?, marked as examples.

Pick it up

## Ask about it, pick up from there.

Stop at the part you did not get and press Ask Eddy about this. The replay becomes a live lesson from that moment: ask which particle has a negative charge, or what holds the nucleus together, and Eddy goes on from there.

What is kept

## Your voice is never kept.

A replay keeps what Eddy said and showed, and your words as text. Nothing else.

### Eddy's voice, your words

Eddy's voice and pictures, and what you said as captions. Never your own voice.

### No pictures of web pages

Pages Eddy opened with you are never kept in a replay.

### How long

How many lessons are kept, and for how long, depends on your plan: see [Pricing](https://duckyhelper.com/pricing/).

### Off, any time

Settings, Memory, Keep my Eddy lessons. Or delete one lesson from History.

## Find it. Play it. Ask.

How to watch a lesson again.

1. 1. Open History In the sidebar, under Eddy lessons. Or press play on Recents.
2. 2. Press Replay The lesson plays back as it happened.
3. 3. Skip and speed up Drag to the part you need, at 1x, 1.5x or 2x.
4. 4. Ask Eddy about this Pick the lesson up from that moment.

## Come back to it, spaced out.

Going over a lesson again a few days later, instead of right away, is what makes it last. A replay at 2x takes half the time, and you can skip to the part you need. The learning science behind it: [Space it out](https://duckyhelper.com/research/principles/spaced-practice/).

## How to use it

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I replay a tutoring session?

Yes. Every Eddy lesson you keep can be replayed from History exactly as it happened: the board, the pictures and Eddy's voice, with your words as captions. Pause, jump to any moment, or play it at 1.5x or 2x.

### Does the replay keep my voice?

No. A replay keeps Eddy's voice and what it showed, and your words only as captions. It never keeps your own voice, and it never keeps pictures of web pages you opened with Eddy.

### How long are lessons kept?

It depends on your plan: how many lessons are kept and for how long is on [Pricing](https://duckyhelper.com/pricing/). You can delete any lesson from History, or stop keeping them with Settings, Memory, Keep my Eddy lessons.

### Can I ask a question in the middle of a replay?

Yes. Press Ask Eddy about this and the replay becomes a live lesson from that moment. Ask your question and Eddy goes on from there.

### Can a parent watch my lessons?

Only if you turn on Family, which is off until you do. A linked parent can see your lessons, their summaries and replays, and you always see who is linked. [Safety](https://duckyhelper.com/safety/) explains it.
