Chegg in 2026

Chegg has had a hard two years. Around October 2025 it cut 388 jobs, about 45% of staff, and pointed to Google's AI summaries cutting its traffic. Its fiscal 2025 revenue was $376.9 million, down 39%, and it said Chegg Study "continues to serve more than a million students". Second quarter 2026 revenue was $51.8 million, down 51%, as the company shifts toward skills training. Chegg Study still runs.

Where DuckyHelper is different

Chegg's strength is its archive of solved problems and expert answers. DuckyHelper does not have an archive. It is a tutor that sees your screen, asks what you tried, and helps you get the next step yourself, then quizzes you on it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Chegg shutting down?

No. Chegg Study still runs and Chegg said it serves more than a million students. The company cut about 45% of jobs around October 2025, revenue fell sharply in 2025 and 2026, and it is shifting toward skills training.

How fast are Chegg expert answers?

Chegg's App Store listing says expert answers arrive in an average of 46 minutes. DuckyHelper answers live by voice, but it is an AI tutor, not a human expert.

Is using Chegg cheating?

It depends on your school's rules and how you use it. Copying a posted solution for graded work usually breaks academic integrity rules. Using any tool to understand a method, then doing the work yourself, is different. Check your syllabus.

Which works on Windows?

Both do. Chegg works in any browser, including on Windows and Chromebooks. DuckyHelper's web app at app.duckyhelper.com runs in any browser too; drawing on your real screen and step checks inside other apps need the Mac app.
