Which one should you pick?

Pick DuckyHelper if

  • You do not understand the material yet and need it explained.
  • You want to ask follow-up questions out loud.
  • You want a quiz on the exact page you just studied (and flashcards, in the Mac app).

Pick Quizlet if

  • You need to memorize a lot of terms with spaced repetition.
  • You want millions of shared study sets and a free plan.
  • You study mostly on a phone.
  • Your teacher already uses Quizlet for class sets.

What Quizlet's AI does now

Quizlet's store listing names Audio Recording (a lecture becomes a study guide and flashcards), Ask Quizlet for homework explanations, Podcasts made from your notes, Learn, Practice Tests and spaced repetition. Its earlier chat tutor, Q-Chat, was turned off after June 30, 2025.

Where DuckyHelper is different

DuckyHelper is a tutor you talk to. It sees what you are reading, explains it, draws on it, and then quizzes you in the same session: quizzes and longer practice tests in the web app, quizzes and flashcards in the Mac app. It does not have Quizlet's library of shared sets or its long-term spaced repetition system.

Frequently asked questions

Does Quizlet still have Q-Chat?

No. Quizlet's help center said Q-Chat would be completely turned off after June 30, 2025. Its current AI tools include Ask Quizlet for explanations, Audio Recording and Podcasts made from your notes.

Can Quizlet explain things out loud?

Quizlet can turn notes into audio and record lectures, but it is not a voice tutor you talk with. DuckyHelper explains out loud, answers your follow-up questions, and sees your screen.

Can DuckyHelper make flashcards?

Yes, in the Mac app: ask Ducky for flashcards from what you just studied and they appear as cards in the session. The web app, used on Chromebooks, makes quizzes and longer practice tests instead. It does not have Quizlet's shared library of sets.

Is Quizlet OK for kids?

Quizlet's terms say it is intended for users over 13 but open to all ages, with a restricted feature set for children 13 and under. DuckyHelper allows under 13s only with verified parental consent.
