Tasks: plan your week with Ducky
Tasks is your study list, built into DuckyHelper. Tell it what is coming up, bio test Friday, soccer Tuesday and Thursday, plan my week, and Ducky drafts study sessions around your week. Nothing is added until you accept. Then Eddy knows what is next: ask what should I do now? and it starts the task with you and notes how it went.

Say what's coming. Get a plan.
In Tasks, press Ask Eddy to plan (Ask Ducky to plan in the Mac app) and say what is coming up in your own words. Ducky drafts study sessions around your week as ghost rows, all ticked. Untick the ones you do not want, add the rest, or discard the whole draft. Nothing is added until you accept.
A study list that keeps up.
Backlog, Todo, In progress, Done. Group by status, project, priority or due date, or switch to a board and drag tasks between columns. A task opens with notes, sub-tasks and comments, and math in it is written properly. Changes show at once on every device.
C for a new task, Cmd + K for the command menu, J and K to move, S, P, D, L and M to set status, priority, due date, label and project.
Add homework from a file: an assignment sheet becomes proposed tasks for you to accept.

Eddy knows what's next.
Ask Eddy what should I do now? and it reads today's tasks: next up is your cloud types flashcards, let's start. Eddy's start page shows your next task under Suggested. Ask Eddy to add a task and it does, with Undo and Open in Tasks.
It notes how it went.
Press Work on it with Eddy on any task. When you are done, Eddy logs the minutes on the task and a short note about what you covered and what to do next time, so the task's activity is a record of your studying.

Tasks you didn't have to type.
Both arrive as proposals: nothing lands in your list until you accept it.
From a parent
With Family turned on, a linked parent can add tasks, shown as from them.
From a school paper
A syllabus, an assignment sheet or a report card becomes proposed tasks, by subject.
Goals
Goals from a report card are labelled as goals.
Spread it out, on purpose.
Three short sessions before a test beat one long night before it. That is the kind of plan to ask for: spaced out, around the week you actually have. The learning science behind it: Space it out.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an AI study planner for students?
DuckyHelper's Tasks is one. Say what is coming up, like bio test Friday and soccer Tuesday and Thursday, and Ducky drafts study sessions around your week. Nothing is added until you accept. Then Eddy knows your next task and can start it with you.
Can it make a study plan for finals?
Yes. Press Ask Eddy to plan and say which tests are when and what else is in your week. Ask for sessions spread out before each test. Untick what does not fit and accept the rest. Study for finals shows a full week.
Does Tasks sync with Google Calendar?
No. Tasks is its own study list inside DuckyHelper, with due dates and times on each task. It does not read or write your Google Calendar, and Eddy never adds events to it.
Can a parent add tasks?
Yes, if you turn on Family, which is off until you do. A linked parent can add tasks, and school papers they upload become proposed tasks. Nothing is added until you accept it, and you always see who is linked.
Does it work on a Chromebook?
Not right now: DuckyHelper is a Mac app (macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon). There is no Chromebook or web version. On a Mac, Tasks is in the sidebar of the DuckyHelper dashboard, and changes show at once on every Mac you are signed in on.
