Try Eddy
Get DuckyHelper for Mac, open the dashboard's Eddy tab, press Talk to Eddy and ask one of the questions below out loud. The Free plan starts with a short live voice welcome, then you keep going by typing. It needs a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later.
Say one of these
Copy a question, or say it in your own words. Eddy picks how to show it: words, a picture or the board.
Why do you feel lighter in an elevator going down?
Ask a why question you have always wondered about. Eddy explains it out loud and shows it on its desk, as a labelled picture or on the blackboard.

How does a guitar string make a note?
Ask for a picture, or press Picture (Cmd + I). It comes into focus and Eddy labels each part as it names it. Tap a part to ask about it.

What does a probability of 1/36 mean with two dice?
Bring the problem you are stuck on, or open your homework file with Open a file (Cmd + O). Eddy goes step by step and gives hints before answers.

Quiz me on adding fractions.
Ask for a quiz on anything you just learned. Answer by tapping or typing, and a wrong answer tells you why. What you miss can come back as flashcards.

More from the start page
A new tab in Eddy opens the start page, with Tools and three example lessons to replay.
Read with Eddy
Press Research (Cmd + E) and find an article or a book. Select a sentence and ask about it.
The blackboard
Press Blackboard (Cmd + K) and say what to explain. Eddy writes it out in time with its voice.
World
Step into a picture: it fills the desk and keeps drawing while Eddy talks. Escape brings you back.
Example lessons
Adding fractions, inside a leaf, and why leaves are green. Replay one, then Ask Eddy about this.
Ready? Open Eddy.
In the DuckyHelper Mac app, open the Eddy tab and allow the microphone when your Mac asks. Ducky, in the pill, also helps right on your screen.
How to use it
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to download anything?
Yes. Eddy is part of DuckyHelper for Mac, so you download the app, sign in with your email, Google, Apple or GitHub, open the Eddy tab and press Talk to Eddy. There is no Chromebook, Windows or web version right now.
Is trying it free?
Yes, on the Free plan: a short live voice welcome, then typing to Eddy every day, with no card needed. Talking out loud after the welcome is part of Plus and up. Pricing has the exact numbers.
What should I ask first?
Something you are curious about or stuck on: a why question, a picture you want to see, the math problem in front of you, or a quiz on what you just studied. Eddy also asks a few quick questions on your first visit so lessons fit you.
