SAT superscore
1410
Best Reading and Writing: 690 (May). Best Math: 720 (August). That is 50 points above your best single test, 1360 (August).
690 + 720 = 1410
How an SAT superscore works
The SAT has two sections, Reading and Writing and Math, each scored from 200 to 800 in steps of 10. A superscore takes the highest score you ever got in each section and adds them.
Before the digital SAT, the reading section was called Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. It is on the same 200 to 800 scale, so enter it in the Reading and Writing box.

Frequently asked questions
What is an SAT superscore?
It is the sum of your highest Reading and Writing score and your highest Math score across all the times you took the SAT. If your best Math came in May and your best Reading and Writing in October, the superscore combines those two.
Do all colleges use the SAT superscore?
No. Each college sets its own policy. Some superscore, some look at your highest single test, and some ask for every score. Check the admissions website of each college on your list.
Can I superscore the ACT too?
Yes, ACT reports a superscore: the average of your best English, math and reading scores from any test dates, rounded to a whole number. Since September 2025 science is not part of it. The ACT score calculator shows the rounding.
Is it worth retaking the SAT for a higher superscore?
If one section is clearly behind the other, a retake focused on that section can raise your superscore even if the other section dips, because only your best score in each section counts. Practice the weak section first, then retake.
